A Module Review appears at the end of each module. It brings together material from all of the lessons in that module, giving you one place to review what you have learned before moving on.
The Summary and Revision tabs remain locked until all lessons within the module have been completed.
1. Summary
The Summary tab combines the Summary Points from all lessons within the module.
This gives you a concise overview of the essential knowledge covered across the whole module without needing to open each lesson individually.
Once all lessons in the module are complete, the Summary tab becomes available.
2. Revision
The Revision tab brings together the flashcards and exercises from all lessons within the module.
This allows you to revise the entire module in one place instead of opening each lesson separately.
The same spaced practice and proficiency system used elsewhere on Knowness applies to these cards.
The Revision tab becomes available once all lessons in the module have been completed.
3. Glossary
The Glossary tab contains the key terms and definitions from across the module.
Terms are listed together so you can quickly review important vocabulary and check the meaning of unfamiliar terms.
These are also the terms used for Embedded Definitions throughout the course.
4. References
The References tab contains the external sources used within the module where the information is not common or well-established knowledge.
This may include sources such as:
- Academic publications: Research papers, journals, and other academic sources.
- Official websites: Sources from exam boards, accreditation bodies, or other recognised organisations.
- Other external sources: Material used to support specific information within the course.
References are listed in the order they first appear in the course and use the APA referencing style. References are kept together in this tab rather than appearing inline throughout the lesson content.
5. Using Module Review
Module Review is useful when you want to:
- Review a whole module: Refresh the key knowledge from several lessons at once.
- Revise across lessons: Practise flashcards and exercises from the entire module.
- Check terminology: Review the important terms and definitions introduced throughout the module.
- Check sources: View the external sources used to support the module content.
- Prepare to move on: Consolidate what you have learned before starting the next module.
You can access Module Review from the course navigation at the end of each module.
