Back in 2021, at the height of the global pandemic, Noor Hamadi got to work on an online education platform. With a passion for learning, Noor had always thought: "Why isn't there a platform that comes to mind when I simply want to learn a subject?" There are many platforms for language learning, school exam practice, skills-based learning; but nothing to quickly, easily, and clearly learn a subject.

In addition to this, Noor was always aware of the struggles faced by students when reaching the end of their school studies, having experienced the famous question himself, as well observing his friends and classmates make decisions that they would ultimately come to regret - "What do I want to study at university?"

By 2023, Knowness had launched, covering 15 subjects in everything from Astronomy and Medicine, to Law, Economics, Engineering and beyond. Not only would these subjects provide a solid foundation for new students, but they would also help provide a taste of what students could expect if chosen to study that particular subject at university. Each subject would have a course, alongside a community of passionate learners discussing their favourite fields.

Along the journey, Noor built a team of experienced educators with a passion for lifelong learning, with a mission of making learning as fun, accessible, and engaging as possible to a wide variety of learners at different stages of their educational journeys.

Since then, Knowness has reached 10k+ users and expanded to cover 30+ general subjects, along with 150+ subjects across GCSE, A-Level, IB and more. Today, Knowness continues to help students not only figure out what to do after school, but also build their general knowledge and ace their school exams.
