Study Mode presents a lesson in smaller, bite-sized steps so you can focus on one part at a time. Instead of viewing the full lesson at once, you move through the content page by page, with each topic and concept introduced in sequence.
1. Learning Step by Step
Study Mode breaks the lesson into a paginated flow. As each concept is introduced, select Next to continue to the following part of the lesson.
This creates a more focused learning experience by showing you only the content you need to concentrate on at that moment.
2. Topics
The lesson still follows the same topics and content as the Learning tab, but presents them one step at a time.
You progress through each topic in order until you have worked through the full lesson.
This can make longer lessons feel more manageable and help you concentrate on one concept before moving on to the next.
3. Embedded Interactions
Embedded Interactions are built directly into the Study Mode flow. When you reach a point where an Embedded Interaction appears in the Learning tab, it automatically opens as the next step in Study Mode.
For example:
- Flashcards: You are prompted to recall the concept you have just learned.
- Exercises: You are prompted to apply your knowledge immediately after learning it.
- Examples: Relevant examples are shown at the point they support the concept.
- Common Mistakes: Common errors are highlighted when they are most relevant.
- Tips, Analogies, Case Studies, and Footnotes: Supporting information is shown as part of the learning sequence.
You therefore do not need to manually open Embedded Interactions while using Study Mode.
4. Active Learning
Study Mode is designed to keep you actively involved in the lesson.
Instead of reading a large amount of content and testing yourself afterwards, learning and practice are mixed together throughout the lesson.
You may learn a concept, answer a flashcard or exercise about it, receive feedback, and then continue to the next concept.
This helps you check your understanding as you go rather than waiting until the end of the lesson.
5. Completing a Lesson
Continue through Study Mode until you reach the end of the lesson.
Your progress is saved as you work, so you can leave and return later if needed.
Completing the required flashcards and exercises in Study Mode also contributes towards completing the lesson in the same way as working through the standard Learning tab.
