The Summary tab gives you a concise version of the lesson containing the essential information you need to know. It becomes available once you complete the lesson.

1. Summary Points

The Summary tab is organised into Summary Points.

These condense the key ideas, facts, and knowledge from the Learning tab into shorter points, making it easier to review the lesson quickly. The Summary Points are grouped under the same topic headings used in the Learning tab.

For GCSE courses, as with the Learning tab, the Summary Points cover the relevant specification content for the lesson.

2. How the Summary Connects to Flashcards

The Summary tab is closely connected to the flashcards used throughout the lesson.

Each Summary Point is covered by an Embedded Flashcard, helping make sure the essential knowledge from the lesson is tested through active recall. Flashcard answers are based directly on the Summary Points.

This means you can use the Summary tab to quickly review what you need to know, then use flashcards to test whether you can recall it without looking.

3. Using the Summary Tab

The Summary tab is useful when you want to:

  • Review a lesson quickly: Refresh the most important content without rereading the full Learning tab.
  • Prepare for revision: Remind yourself of the key knowledge before attempting flashcards and exercises.
  • Check your knowledge: Identify points you are less confident about and return to the Learning tab where needed.

The Summary tab is designed for review rather than replacing the full lesson. Use the Learning tab when you need a more detailed explanation of a concept.
