Artificial intelligence (AI) is the development of computer systems that can perform tasks that normally require human intelligence, such as learning, problem-solving, and decision-making. There are many different approaches to AI, including rule-based systems, expert systems, and machine learning. Machine learning is a subfield of AI that involves the development of algorithms that can learn and improve their performance over time.
In biology, AI and machine learning are being used to analyze and interpret large amounts of biological data, such as gene sequences and protein structures, to identify patterns and make predictions. These technologies are also being used to design and optimize experiments, predict the effects of mutations, and develop new drugs and therapies.
