Chemistry is a diverse science that intersects with biology on the one side (Biochemistry) and with physics and mathematics on the other side (Physical and Theoretical Chemistry).

The variety within Chemistry can make the subject very inclusive, attracting people with a variety of backgrounds and skill sets. It also means that there is a large number of prerequisite courses that can be considered essential or helpful to mastering a Chemistry degree. 

This module aims to outline the broad range of exciting Chemistry courses available in the higher education sector as well as how best you can prepare for each of these courses if you are thinking of pursuing a degree in Chemistry. This includes what A-levels and extracurriculars might be helpful but also how best to apply for courses and plan for life as a Chemistry student at university.
