This module introduces the most common archaeological university courses offered in Britain. Each course approaches the various topics and subfields within archaeologyThe study of the human past through material remains such as artefacts, buildings, and landscapes. in subtly different ways, but each allows you to immerse yourself in the past. This module will highlight the differences between and strengths of these courses. The careers that archaeology opens the door to will also be discussed, with a focus on the most common career paths in Britain directly related to archaeology and the historic environment. In order to best prepare you for studying archaeology the best A-Level subjects, hobbies, and related skills that might give you a boost in university applications or help you get into the swing of studying once you get to uni. The most important thing to remember about studying archaeology is to have passion for uncovering the past! Relish deepening our understanding and applying our knowledge to benefit as many people as possible.
