Culture has long been a cornerstone of human identity, shaping societies, traditions, and interactions. However, in an increasingly globalised and consumer-driven world, questions arise about whether traditional cultures are still relevant. This module explores the evolving role of culture, using examples from the UK to analyse how cultural heritage has been replaced or transformed by modern influences.

What is Culture?

Culture encompasses the ideas, customs, practices, and social behavior of a particular people or society and includes: Language, traditions and rituals, art, music, and literature, social norms and values.
