1.3.9 Formation of Glacial Landforms

In this lesson, we will explore the characteristics and formation of glacial landforms resulting from erosion, transportation, and deposition. Specifically, we will examine landforms such as corries, arêtes, pyramidal peaks, truncated spurs, glacial troughs, ribbon lakes, hanging valleys, erratics, drumlins, and different types of moraine. Additionally, we will analyse an upland area in the UK affected by glaciation to identify its major landforms of erosion and deposition.
