Before committing to a life as a lawyer, it is important to consider whether a Law degree is the right choice for you specifically and whether you are interested in taking the steps required to become a practising lawyer. We will also explore both the basics of a Law degree and what is actually taught at university.

The Law is a complicated effort, and requires a high degree of analysis and understanding. Depending on the practice area and whether you work in a criminal or civil field, a lawyer may be handling incredibly large sums of money or helping defend a person’s freedom.

This module will help you understand how these items are viewed, with the practical application often being very different, but this is reserved for the Solicitor’s Qualification Exam or the Bar Professional Training Course.
