Metaphysics is a branch of Philosophy that explores the nature of reality. It is sometimes known as “the first Philosophy” because it seeks to answer fundamental questions about existence, reality, and what lies beyond the physical world that we experience through our senses.

What Is Metaphysics?

The word “Metaphysics” comes from the Greek words meta (meaning beyond) and physika (meaning nature). This demonstrates how the study of Philosophy involves inquiring into what lies beyond the observable. While physics investigates the observable and measurable aspects of the universe, Metaphysics asks questions that go deeper.
