    Module Review

This Human Geography module examines the complex relationship between humans and their environment, exploring how societal, cultural, and environmental factors shape the world we live in today. We will investigate on-going issues such as climate migration, how environmental changes drive human movement and the profound challenges and opportunities these migrations create for both origin and destination regions.

Additionally, we will reflect on the evolving role of culture in an increasingly globalised world. Is cultural diversity still relevant in today’s interconnected society, or has it been replaced by homogenised, global identities? By analysing case studies, such as the cultural transformation of iconic locations like Glenfinnan in Scotland, we’ll question how globalisation, tourism, and media are reshaping cultural landscapes.

Throughout this module, we will critically assess the forces shaping urbanisation, migration, cultural identities, and human-environment interactions. By understanding these dynamics, you will understand and appreciate how Geography influences both local and global challenges in the 21st century.
