Plate and shell analysis is the analysis of thin, flat structures such as plates and shells. Each of these methods has its own advantages and limitations and are chosen based on the type and complexity of the structure being analyzed. However, with the advance of computer and software, more complex and sophisticated methods have been introduced and have been used to analyze structures such as finite element method, boundary element method.
