• Check that I am doing a combination of A-Levels accepted by the degrees and universities I have chosen. Many Economics courses prefer Mathematics A-Level, and some may require Further Mathematics.
• Make a plan on how I am going to financially support myself at university. Look into student loans, student living costsThe sacrifices made when choosing a particular option, which may include money spent, time used, or resources consumed. in different cities, and university accommodation prices.
• Put a plan in place to make sure I get the A-level grades I need. Consider setting up a revision schedule and using past papers to prepare.
• Make sure I have things to talk about in my personal statement. These can include reading books on Economics, following financial news (e.g., The Economist, Financial Times), attending public lectures on Economics at universities, or completing this Taster Course.
• Explore work experience or extracurricular activities related to Economics that will enhance my personal statement. This could include internships, online courses, or even participating in competitions 
• Make sure I have written a strong personal statement that effectively showcases my interest in Economics and my relevant skills and experiences.
• Consider if I want to do an Extended Project Qualification (EPQ). An EPQ related to an economic issue can strengthen my university application and demonstrate independent research skills.
• Familiarise myself with key economic concepts and debates. This will help build a strong foundation for university studies.
• Look into university open days and Economics taster events to gain more insight into the course structureThe organisation and order of information in a text. and student experience.
• Research career paths linked to an Economics degree to understand potential future opportunities and how different courses align with my goals.
