Accounting – University Taster (Pre-16)

Welcome to the Accounting University Taster! The aim of this course is to give you a glimpse into the world of both Financial and Management Accounting and allow you to understand how they differ, as well as exploring career opportunities and vital skills that will be expected of you as you study Accounting. This University Taster will take you through the main topics of Accounting, highlighting the most important components of Financial Accounting such, as the accounting equation, the accrual principle, and a crash course through financial statements. As well as this, the course will provide insights into Management Accounting like inventory valuation, budgeting, and absorption costing.
