Philosophical Schools of Thought

In this module, we will delve into the heart of some of the most influential philosophical traditions that have shaped human understanding across the centuries. Our journey begins with Cynicism, a school that championed a life in accordance with nature, free of societal constraints. We then move on to Platonism and Aristotelianism, examining the timeless wisdom of Plato and Aristotle and their profound influence on Western thought. Epicureanism and Stoicism will guide us through different perspectives on the good life, pleasure, virtue, and our relationship with the world. With Skepticism, we will be encouraged to question our knowledge and perceptions. Finally, with Neoplatonism, we will explore the metaphysical synthesis that deeply influenced subsequent philosophy and religious thought. Each of these schools of thought offers unique insights into the enduring questions of human existence.
