Knowness Raises £100,000 Pre-Seed Investment to Revolutionise Education

We are thrilled to announce that Knowness has successfully raised a £100,000 pre-seed investment, valuing our company at approximately £2.5 million. This significant milestone comes as we continue our mission to transform education and make lifelong learning accessible to all.

Since launching our Minimum Viable Product (MVP) in February 2023, Knowness has grown into a platform where students can learn any subject at any time, free from traditional educational constraints. This investment will enable us to enhance our platform and expand our team as we further our mission to deliver world-class educational resources to learners everywhere.

Breaking Barriers in Education

Knowness was born out of a vision to create a flexible learning platform that serves everyone, whether preparing for school exams or making decisions about higher education and careers. With over 10,000 users spanning 160 countries, we’re proud of how far we’ve come. Our team now includes experienced teachers and senior educators, ensuring that our content is of the highest quality.

Education is more than just passing exams; it’s about empowering students to make informed decisions about their future. With nearly half of students (44%) regretting their choice of degree, we see a huge opportunity to bridge this gap by providing practical guidance and tailored resources that support students in making the right choices after school.

How the Investment Will Shape Our Future

This funding will allow us to further improve Knowness, with a core focus on partnering directly with schools and educational institutions. By working with schools, we can directly impact students who need the most support, bringing our platform to classrooms across the UK and globally.

We’re already working with two schools to develop case studies, and we plan to expand this network throughout the year. Our goal is to ensure that students, regardless of their location or background, have access to the resources they need to succeed.

Committed to Social Impact

Education should be accessible to everyone. With this in mind, we are committed to offering our paid services free of charge to students from disadvantaged backgrounds and on Pupil Premium. Financial limitations should never be a barrier to education, and we will continue to work towards making sure no student is left behind in their learning journey.
